This 1969 BOSS 429 is one of early BOSS 429’s (built February 28, 1969 and shipped to Ed Schmid Ford in Ferndale, Mi) and as such has the rare “S� type Z code Hemi engine. As opposed to the later and tamer “T� type, the “S� type engine cars were equipped with battleship strength ½ inch rod bolt full NASCAR connecting rods and NASCAR-style magnesium valve covers. Included among the many original/correct components are the original matching number engine block (C9AE-6015-A) and correct intake (C9AE-9425-D), Holley four-barrel carburetor (C9AF-9510-S), water pump (C8ZE-8202-E), exhaust manifolds (C9AE-9431-A & C9AE-9430-A), radiator (C8SE-SI), close ratio top loader four speed manual transmission (C8AR-7008-D) and 3.91 nodular case Traction-Lok 9 inch rear end (3L91).
